The design of the 27-hole Torre Grande Golf Course offers a challenging but fair game of golf, which will be very attractive to both the local residents and the many international guests who will come to the region for business and pleasure. The golf experience will contain a par 72 Chmapionship 18-hole golf course and a 9-hole Executive course comprised of par 3 and par 4 holes. Spectacular natural site features rise above the course in the form of pine forests, rolling hills androck outcroppings surround the course in an amphitheatre like fashion, providing for a unique setting and truly memorable golf experience. The thirthenth century Torre Grande Castle will be a prominent backdrop for many of the breathtaking holes. Also included within the gold facility are a spacious driving range and two practice greens for putting and short game practice.
Designed with four distinctively differing sets of tee positions, the course will present an interesting and dramatic challenge for golfers of all skill levels. There will be ample teeing surface area on every hole, with plenty of space for adjusting tee loaction within each tee complex. Fairways and fairway bunkers will be distictively shaped and contoured to challenge the golfer and create architectural interest. Landing areas will be generous in width to accept the average player's shots, but will narrow for the better long ball hitters. Each green site will offer a variety of putting situations, along with a wide range of pin placements, from easy to difficult. The use of native stone walls in select locations along the edge of tees and lakes will add do the visual drama. A combination of exciting and strategically designed dog leg holes which wrap around water features and play between spectabular tree and shrub mass plantings.
Native tree, shrub and groundcover plant materials wil be incorporated within the golf course to provide seasonal interest and year round beauty. Tree and shrub mass planings will provide for screening and seperation between golf holes. Plantings will be stategially placed between green sites for added depth perception and in select locations near fairways for added playing interest and challenge.
